Opseg motora za Yeti uključuje dvije benzinske i tri dizel verzije.

Svi motori su sa četiri cilindra, u liniji, sa turbo punjačem i sa direktnim ubrizgavanjem goriva. Oni se izdvajaju po niskoj potrošnji i zadovoljavaju uslove EU 5 standarda za emisiju gasova.

Four-wheel drive for the Yeti is provided by an ingenious system using a 4th generation Haldex inter-axle clutch that enables the car to run economically while maintaining excellent traction. The altered rear multi-link axle with wider wheel track gives the car greater stability when driving on rough terrain and also lends it excellent handing properties on the road.
